Just dug out this picture again today. It must have been taken somewhere around 1985 in Nepal. In those days so many children had swollen bellies and signs of malnutrition. Still they always had a smile for people passing by. Their fate and my helplessness to change things were among the biggest lessons in humility I learned this life.
This april, back to Nepal, these signs of abysmal poverty fortunately seemed no longer there.
